Do they know it's nearly Christmas?
Here's a picture of me and Aoife enjoying the sunshine in...November! Leigh is busy making the Christmas cake and buying Christmas presents and in the garden it is warm and sunny and the flowers are still blooming:
This lovely rose is called Gertrude Jekyll after a famous English garden designer and writer. It hasn't bloomed until now! And the borders are still bright:
Oh well if the flowers don't know it's nearly Christmas maybe we shouldn't worry either. My little sister Aoife has never seen a winter yet - I won't tell her about the snow and ice and frost and -15C last year. Just let her enjoy the sunshine:

It will be warm here this weekend, they say! But my toes are freezing cold, so we are all confused too. Hope you get to enjoy those flowers a little longer!
ReplyDeleteSo great that you have flowers this time of year! Enjoy them :)

It's unbelievable isn't it Magic? Mind you a day of rain yesterday reminded us it was November. Aoiffe looks so cute in that photo, we think we'd like one to come and live with us, now to convince the popster ;-) Dex and Lou xxx
ReplyDeleteDon't spoil Aoife's fun just yet - she will soon see how cold things can get?? We had 35 degrees yesterday and mum had to "cool down" the house last night with the air-conditioning. I must admit, I just lie on the rug when it feels warm....to warm to do much.
