Crufts Competition (Part Two)

                                          

                                      The Crufts Ticket Competition has been won! 

The answer to the question - Which breed of dog has won Best in Show at Crufts the most times? is the English Cocker Spaniel and the two lucky winners are Diane from Lincolnshire and Sarah from Milton  Keynes. Congratulations to both and hope you have a great time there.

I will be a roving reporter at the show on Thursday and watching the affenpinschers being judged as our Frankie is going in the Crufts show ring for the very first time. Check this link for details of how to get tickets and more information about what is happening each day of the show.

If anyone can get along to one of the four days of the show do come - it is the most wonderful day out for any peeps who love us dogs. So many fun activities to watch, beautiful dogs on display and everything dog related you can imagine.

                                                    

Look out for my report on the activities on the first day of the show this Thursday and my affenpinscher brother Crybbe may be reporting back again on Saturday. He loved his trip there last year.

Crufts Competition Time

                                          

Well bloggy friends - today is the day! The Life in the Doghouse Competition to win a pair of tickets to the world's greatest dog show :-) less than a week to go so do not delay! 

                                          

So much to see and do at the show and lots of dogs strutting their stuff in the ring, dazzling dancers, agility athletes, hero dogs that have saved lives around the world, rescue dogs, therapy dogs and even this year Instagram dogs!!

You will have a day to remember for sure BOL

                                 

For this year's competition all we want to know is: 

Which breed of dog has been the most successful winner of Best in Show at Crufts with seven wins to date.

A Special Anniversary

Well it does not seem a whole year ago but we are getting excited here about Crufts 2016 which is only a month away. This year is a special anniversary for the "World's Largest Dog Show" - it is 125 years since the very first show and this year I am going along as a reporter again :-)

                               

Over the next few weeks I will post more fun facts and information about Crufts - and watch this space for a new competition to win tickets for the show!

Pups Growing Up

                             

Here are my great grand pups - much bigger in just a week and already their eyes are open.

                              

They have had their nails clipped so they don't scratch Pip when they are feeding:

                              

And they have moved into the playpen in the kitchen during the day so that they can see what is going on with the rest of the family. Here are some photos of when we met them :-)

Even Crybbe came to say hello although I think that may be the last time he talks to them as he does not really like puppies very much BOL

Great Grandma Magic

                          

Well - it's official. I am now a great grandmother as my granddaughter Pip gave birth to three lovely little babies just over a week ago. Two boys and a girl and they are all doing well - twice as big today as they were a week ago!

                                          Here she is making sure they are all clean :-)

                               

                    These are the two boys yesterday - you can see how big they are growing.

                              

And this is the little girl. All the babies still have their eyes closed but we are hoping they will open them soon :-)

                               

Another photo of all three today - the little girl is the one on the left. The two brothers are very fond of each other and always try to sleep side by side. 

And here is Trilby - now she is a grandmother and just waiting until she can see her new grand pups. 

                               

We are all looking forward to when they are big enough to come into the play pen in the kitchen and we can check them out. Maybe another week yet until their eyes open and they can hear so for now they stay warm and safe in the whelping box with Pip in the sitting room.

      

Christmas 2015

                           

We had a fun Christmas this year with plenty of treats and a lovely walk at Lotherton Hall gardens today. Here are some of the pictures from the past week :-)

              We had plenty of tasty treats so it was a good idea to have a brisk walk today.

                                     They were quite tiny but there were a lot of them :-) 

                               

          These little stones mark the graves of the dogs who used to live at the Hall years ago. 

                               

                            Some of the dogs had come from Russia and some from Japan! 

                                 

                                 

         We had a good explore of the gardens and a good snooze when we came home! 

And if you were wondering why Pip did not come with us - well she is resting at home as she is pregnant and planning on making me a great grandmother in the New Year!!! 

                                 

     

Christmas Trip to York

                                       

Yesterday although it was very cold and damp here, I went with Judith and Leigh for a little trip out to York to see the ice sculptures and Christmas lights. There were lots of stalls too selling food and gifts for the peeps to buy.

                                        

       And there was a man making small ice sculptures to put up in the streets as well.

Then it was time for my peeps to and me to have a rest in the warm. We settled down for lunch at Filmore & Union which is one of the very few restaurants in Yorkshire that welcomes us dogs.

                      It was a good day out but tiring - just time for schnauzer kisses before we go home :-)
